For thirteen years, Stephen and his family lived a fairly normal and comfortable life outside Las Vegas, Nevada. Stephen had a booming real estate appraisal business; everything seemed to be rolling along fairly smoothly with no sign of slowing down. All of that changed in 2008 when the economy crashed and his appraisal business gradually crashed with it. By the end of 2011 it was evident that they could no longer make a living with the appraisal business and had to find another way to support their growing family.

Although very few opportunities existed at the time, there was one path forward that seemed to be the most obvious—-the music ministry. For several years prior, Stephen had been writing and performing his original Christ-centered music on a part-time basis. As a result, he had already purchased all his music equipment and produced his first two CDs. Furthermore, they owned their van and travel trailer free and clear, and to top it off the children were already being home-schooled. In other words, everything necessary to hit the road full-time with the music ministry was in place. It’s as if God had been leading them to pursue the traveling music ministry all along. All they had to do was go. In the beginning of 2012, that’s exactly what they did.

Since then, Stephen and his wife, Christy, their nine “roadschooled” children, a dog, and a cat have traveled throughout all of the lower 48 states sharing their music ministry with thousands of people at concerts and worship services. Their goal is to “enlighten the lost and encourage the found” with Stephen’s original, Christ-centered music. With his background singer and daughter, Marissa Renee, Stephen shares his music in a very compelling yet soothing style while conveying a solid Gospel message.

The family currently has a home base near Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, but are more often found visiting congregations around the country in their Chevy Express van with their 33-foot travel trailer in tow.

Stephen has five professionally produced CDs that are available for purchase at his concerts and worship services. His music is also available online at www.StephenBautistaMusic.com, iTunes, Amazon, and most other online outlets.
