Christmas Trees (Midweek Advent)

5pm Meal – 6pm Service

Many religions have used evergreen branches represent eternal life. In the 16th century, the Lutherans of Germany decorated the trees indoors with red ornaments, symbolizing the blood of Christ, and with candles, symbolizing the light of Christ. They would top the tree with a star or angel, both important in the story of Jesus’ birth.

In our midweek Advent services, we will look at three trees found in Scripture. Each one points to Jesus Christ and explains why his birth is so worthy of celebration.

Wed. Dec 4.      The Tree of Rebellion

Wed. Dec. 11      The Tree of Promise
