Lord of life, we pray our nation remembers the anniversary of the court case on January 22, 1973, as a day of sadness and injustice for all the lives lost with legalized infanticide. Mercifully heal the guilty consciences of the doctors and parents who have committed abortion. Lead them to repentance and forgiveness in Christ. Forgive us for the times we became silent or complacent in the face of injustice and evil. Use us, your forgiven people, to bring the message which reconciles this lost world back to to you.
Lord of all the nations, bless all the newly elected leaders of our nation as they dutifully carry out their service and all their efforts to govern and protect our nation. Mercifully provide us with just authorities and peace in our nation. Give us the continued ability to peacefully spread your gospel and the blessing of being able to worship together in your name.
